Judith Price is an artist and resident of Avoca Beach.

What started as picking up rubbish while walking on the beach has inspired her to create her unique style of artwork. The body of work “Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish” - was exhibited at the Gosford Regional Gallery, in April 2011.

A bottle top, an aluminium can, plastic cutlery, food packaging, footwear, toys, fishing gear - anything at all has the potential to be reclaimed from the beach as art.

Judith has found inspiration and direction in the jetsam and rubbish that often spoils our coastline - interrupting its usual lifecycle and reversing its negative effect on the natural environment by transforming it into works that are intricate, whimsical and engaging.

Collectively, it is hoped audiences will find the works thought provoking, laughter inducing, and a quirky comment on littering as a widespread symptom of our modern disposable culture.
